Cultivate, Curate, Create- Casa Paloma's 3 C's
Welcome to Casa Paloma!
We want to thank you for spending time exploring our site, looking at our products and learning more about our brand. This is a space that we will use to share the voices and stories of different change makers, partners and allies, but today we wanted to share a few of the guiding principles we think of when designing and promoting our products. The three C’s of Casa Paloma: cultivate, curate, and create.
‘Cultivate’ verb: to promote the growth or development of (an art, science, etc.); foster.
We believe that we have the power to cultivate peace with our purchases. To live with intention and see ourselves as part of a larger interconnected network where our actions cause impact- like ripples in the lake. To us ‘cultivate’ means growth, investment in the future and the ability to promote justice
‘Curate’ verb: to pull together, to select.
It is a privilege to select the elements of our lives we want to surround us every day- both the big things like our partners, friends, and environments, but also the little things like the clothes we wear, the jewelry we buy, and the products we use. Let’s make what we cultivate in our lives a reflection of the values we want to uphold and what we select be thoughtful, unique (like we all are!) and beautiful.
‘Create’ verb: to evolve from one's own thought or imagination, as a work of art.
We have the power to create our futures- to build ourselves and learn through experience. We can see what works and what does not and think creatively about solutions to fix these problems. With our partners, we think of the word ‘create’ in two ways- what kinds of products can we create together, and what kind of future can we create with those products?
We are more powerful than we often realize. Our choices have impact, even if we do not see it in our daily lives. We are committed to reflecting everyday about how we can cultivate peace, curate beauty and create a more just future in all of our actions. We hope you join us!
Poem Translated:
Everything in life returns
(the good and the bad)
-The love you gave
-How you treated others
-How you made others feel
-Every light you lit with your being
-The times you helped without looking who was watching
